BIOGRAPHY

An Ohio Native, Rebecca Kaler graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a double major in textile design and painting, after which she served two years in the Peace Corps in Bolivia, SA. Later in life she returned to college and earned a B.A. in journalism and an M.A. in continuing education.

In her career, she has worked as a cartoonist and gag writer, wall covering and mural designer, designed sets for Ripley's Museums, taught art and English, co-edited magazines, and was curator of the Pearl Conard Gallery at OSU-Mansfield. In addition, she concurrently raised two children, both of whom are artists, and she authored and illustrated a children's book, "Blueberry Bear," Inquiring Voices Press, Bloomington, Indiana.

An award winning and accomplished artist, her designs, books, and paintings have sold in the US and Canada. Her travels through several parts of the world and the USA have contributed to her colorful, free-flowing style, her love of the land, and her insight into the basic physiological needs of all people for recognition.
